[daemon32] Guide to No Background in Signatures! [EASY]

This guide is going to teach you how to create a signature without a background so it shows up somewhat like a render in your signature, like mine.

Step 1:

On this page, or any other, screenshot the content area of my/the thread.

Step 2:

Now, with Photoshop open, you're going to create a new image in any size that you would like for you signature, and paste your screenshot in there.

Step 3:

Now, what you're going to want to do, is select the content area (the medium dark blue colour) and copy&paste it.

Step 4:

Now you want to delete the layer you have your screenshot on.

Step 5:

Fill the entire background with the colour you copy and pasted from your screenshot and design over top of it. Upload when done. Congratulations

** Please note this is a very simple guide to a very simple task. It is one of the very beginning guides I have ever made so don't judge. All information provided were used from my own intellect and have not been plagiarized from any website, all Sythe.org rules have been abided.

 

This technically won't get rid of your background. If you are on another skin, for example, the background of your signature would not match that skin.

A simpler way to do it is to create your image in photoshop, and delete the alpha (background) layer. This will make your signature transparent. Save your file as a .png (or if it has animation, save for web and devices, which will default to .gif)

 

Does not work on most forums and I was referring to using this technique on Sythe. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey good guide, but do you know a way on how to make your avatar appear without a white box around it? I've tried using a PNG but the box still comes up.

 

Your guide makes no sense.
You don't have pictures, and your signature is messed up, why would i even bother reading a guide on how to fix them?
