Custom user title for recently pardoned users

I think originally this was suggested by Shin though nothing was really done with it. His suggestion was if I'm not mistaken to edit recently pardoned users' their user titles to something that would give users some kind of warning about their original/previous ban reason (they were pardoned for) etc.

Eventually more than the half of the pardoned users end up getting banned again so the hell with "Pardoning with a clean slate".. they should be glad there's atleast a pardon system here.

TL;DR: Should pardoned users get a temporarily usertitle that says something like "This user was recently pardoned for scamming"? The "scamming" word would then link you to his pardon.

I would support something being visible at the top of their profile but I don't think they should have to wear a user title, maybe for like 6 months or so?

 

No, never.

A pardon is a clean slate - While I remain on Sythe I will do everything in my power to assure that never - EVER changes.

Pardon users are supposed to be welcomed back to the community and find their way back into it and where they fit in, you would have us brand them on the forehead basically for everyone who interacts with them to know what they did.

To me that's the equal of branding someone IRL with their sins whether that's theft, murder, money laundering, whatever. There is no justification to morally ever do that to a person.

Pardons = Clean slate.

I don't know what your problem is lately with trying to ban everyone on the site and brand clean-slate users and punish everyone to the max but you need to get the fuck over it, some of these suggestions have been goddam awful, its something I'd expect to see from a newcomer with 5 posts not a well known global mod.

At least run these by your fellow staff before posting them - I've had some bad suggestions in my day but ur not doing much better lately.

sorry carrot man but i'm gonna have to agree with above and say no support. it's the traders job to do the research on the individual before trading with them. when doing large trades, I ALWAYS background check the user.

 

I think this would actually act as a deterrence factor and cause less people to pay their debts and pardon, since they'd then have to bear that user title for X amount of time.

Would you rather there be no pardon system, and no one make any attempts to pay debt? If over half the pardoned users are getting banned again, then perhaps there should be some stricter requirements for pardoning, but don't give people less of a reason to pardon by branding them with a user title.
