CS:GO Progress Thread

This thread will generally be for my own entertainment on how bad the ranking system in CS:GO is, but feel free to make comments.

The reason for this is the amount of 10+ win streaks I go on being 1st or 2nd fragger in every game, without a rank up bothers me ;-).

My old account I got to GN3 very very easily and quick, this account for some reason is in "Elo Hell".

Don't get me started, I'm DMG and I have won around 25 wins in a row getting no less than 15 kills per game and always a positive K/D and I have not got Eagle. It's elo hell at it's finest.

 

Where are you from? I have a thought that its harder to rank up in USA/Canada than Europe.

Good luck! Will keep track on this. I'm in silver atm, but I'm trying to improve! Any tips? Currently just a regime of practice, watching streamers, and tutorials on YT.

 

Canada, my old account had no problems ranking up though.. Won 4 more games today, had a loss inbetween will upload screenshots soon.. Still no GN1..

DM's, do 15-20 minute death matches like after every game you play, aim is a very important thing in cs;go. Also sound, make sure sound is all set up properly, and you can hear people walking around.

 

After playing for about 1,500 hours of CS:GO, here's my speculation about how CS:GO ranks are determined and when you rank up/down:

As far as I know, CS:GO doesn't really look at the score you have in-game. I had matches with my friends whom ranked up with <10 score in-game. I have the feeling that the longer you're stuck on a rank, the harder it gets to rank up. I was stuck on DMG for months and it took me ultimately 9 wins in a row to rank up. After that, it was only 4 more wins in a row to Legendary Eagle Master.

For me, it was really a matter of practice and practice. I watched most YouTube videos mainly about smokes, flashes and grenades. I'm always trying to outsmart the enemy and I think that is, along with good teamplay, the key to winning CS:GO matches. Good luck!

My current win streak on main:

 

The ranking system is pretty fucked up at silver/gn ranks from what I've seen. I played probably 100 games in gn1-mge and it only took another 30-40 with mixed wins and losses to get eagle. If you keep fragging and improve you'll rank up eventually and you'll never look back

 

Honestly after posting this I realized I'd never keep up with it.. I'm going to try to, I am now at Gn2.
