Cryptography challenge for y'all

I basically made a nooby crypt system in vb .
Decrypt this message:

Hint: hello is tqqjm. hellohello is yvvoryvvor

Well, the letters are never the same, which is odd. l=q in hello, and l=v in hellohello.

I'm lost

If I would encrypt hellohellohello the letters wouldn't be the same . Not even hellohelloh.

 

Essentially you invented your own language.

Well firstly, it seems it prints the characters backwards. And since it's different characters for the two words, it probably finds an offset of some kind from the length of the string. One sec, I'll look at it some more.

 

Yeh Cruel. That's kinda right. It looks at the length of the string, then adding that number to the ASCII code of each character, then reversing it. Congrats.

is this high tech Vb stuff? or is it very minor?

 

You don't need to know VB to translate it.
Personally, I made a VB function real quick to translate it for me, but you could just use a calculator and an ASCII chart or something.
