Crypto Mining

Does anyone currently mine crypto, if so what rigs do you use and where did you purchase your rigs from?

Been looking for the antminer D3 but its sold out everywhere cant find any reputable sites

 

Been hobby mining ZenCash for a bit, it's pretty shitty profit but if the coin itself goes up it'll have been worth it in the end. My GPU is an nvidia 980ti.

 

Ah I find mining it from my gpu is pointless, I have a gtx 1070 and I average ~ $1.60 a day per any crypto which is a bit shit considering how loud fans are and has to be running 24/7

Looking more to buy an actual rig built for mining, some are extremely profitable

 

If anyone is experienced with mining on rigs i would like some information on where to get best price/quality rigs without getting ripped off

 

I made my own rigs before they went to acig... need to be very careful a lot pre ordering site you see are scams

 

I have 3 pre orders for the d3 and an eth/dcr mining rig. It's a hobby of mine and keeps me engaged with crypto currencies on a different level.

Isn't mining crypto extremely resource demanding? @Chillzer on 1.6$ per day are you profiting on electricity costs etc?

 

All depends on what you feel is worthwhile, most of the btc miners seem a bit shit for only ~$1k a year after buying the rig for $2k ish



D3 however is very good right now

 

Could be decent if you bought a few of them then, imagine the difficult part is finding where they're not sold out

This is the profit some are getting with three Dash miners. I expect it to drop from here unless Dash increases in value.

 

considering about 3 days ago it was $35k a year for 15 gh/s and in late august it was around $80k a year its looking bleak for profit by november, wondering if it will even be worth it now dash needs to increase otherwise difficulty will continue to increase and mining will end up around $5k year max

 

Usually the best way to make money in the crypto world is to buy coins at the right time. I want to be more involved and help the system so I decided to start mining. I'm not doing much but every little bit helps.

Yes, I mine Ethereum and Siacoin, I have a combined hash rate of 1340 MH/S, electricity bill is $1000/month.

 

If you're wanting to be profitable, you're better off buying the coins than mining them. Now, if you're wanting to contribute and be a part of something bigger (a moral inclination), then mining is an option.
