Credit Union / COINBASE?

Hi there.

100% new in the crypto market.
I do not have a credit card, I have a bank account with a credit union.
A credit union would be something like "Coast Capital" where I am from.
I do not have a CVC number with my debit card.

How can I still sign up to use my bank with coin-base, any options?

 

Most places can draft from your bank using the routing number and account number. May have to verify your bank account by inputting your info. They then will send something like two small withdraws for a few cents and a deposit of equal amount to your account. You input that info on the website to confirm you own the bank account.

Thank you, I will keep this open and try this. I didn't see a bank account option I only seen 'credit/debit' card, just having some troubles.

Once you have a coinbase account, go to settings then linked accounts. Should be an option there to link a new account.

You can add just your bank to coinbase. It should be in the linkedaccount and automatically ask you to log into your bank. Once you login you will see all accounts associated with your bank and just click the one you want to link.

This doesn't work with smaller banks / credit unions a lot of the time, they wouldn't take the one that I bank with which is a local credit union with like 10 branches

That's for the ACH transfers or whatever. I did all that and then 2-3 days later it said it didn't go through (I don't remember why)

When you try to link your bank account to Coinbase they ask you to choose your bank from a drop-down list or type the name of it in, then when I typed mine in it didn't appear.

I eventually just started getting others to buy my BTC for me, but just filling this guy in on what I went through with a smaller credit union on Coinbase.
