Battlefield 1

Anyone pumped for it? What's your opinion on the fact we're going back, all the way to WW1. Honestly for me, it was risky for DICE to do this, but I think they'll pull it off.

And that trailer was fucking sexy.

 

I've been waiting for an older styled game for a while. I absolutely love WW1/WW2 and have been waiting for a game revolving around those two wars for a while. I'm really tired of all of the futuristic modern shooter stuff that CoD / Tom Clancy / Battlefield has been putting out.

 

Yeah definitely man. I grew up on Medal of Honor and shit, so this is going to be awesome to go back to this time, especially WW1 as it is The Great War. I know a lot of people were confused as to why DICE choice WW1 over WW2. But with games like Battalion, and Verdun, Tarkov and shit coming out, it would be overly saturated so even though it was risky going WW1 it will obviously pay off for them. Let's just hope for a smooth launch aye.

 

World at War was my favorite Call of Duty, I'm hoping this battlefield will top it.

 

I really liked it as well man. WaW was one of my favorite CoD's and I know a lot of people don't really like it lol.

@Bogdan linked a really cool WW2 kickstarter for a game that's coming out next year I think. I honestly forget what the game was called though but you guys might really like it.

Been following Battalion for a awhile. It's looks very solid, between this and BF1 looks like it will be a good few years with these two games. Can't wait to play both of them, this seems more like Insurgency but older style, whilst BF1 should be more casual.

 

it will just be bf4/starwars re-skinned.

 

I'm not sure actually. I'm quite hyped about this, I even liked the song in the trailer lol. I do agree it'll probably have it's bugs at first, but if it turns out as great as Battlefield 4 eventually it would be awesome. I already signed up for the beta and I might pre-order the game if the next trailer is as pretty as this one.

 

The unfortunate truth.

I think it's too hard to get excited about new CoD / Battlefield / Assassins Creed etc. games until they're out and people have tested them a bit.
