    CPU/RAM most important?

Hey im looking to build a pc on a budget not sure how much yet..I probley wont have to buy all parts as i already have some from my pc that broke so just wondering is the CPU i get the most important also should it be an intel i7 thing? and for RAM il get 4gb's? What else is priority of importance? Also im hoping to run 4-6 bots, or more if possible. Thanks in advance

you would run 6 bots easily with that, like 12+

If you want your bots to run efficiently, up the RAM to at least 8 with that processor. And make sure you are using a 64-bit OS to utilise all the RAM. You'll easily run 6+ bots.

Personally, I'd go for an AMD Phenom processor. But that's just my personal choice.
Indeed, though. Up that RAM to 8gb and slot in a 1tb hard-drive for good measure. If you like to run other games, buy one of the newer nVidia GPU's and enjoy the quality. Shouldn't cost you too much and it'll be a kickass system. You'll run 6+ like a breeze.

Intel i7 is really to expensive for me since i need to get a whole new pc now(just the case)
Anyone know if the graphics card effects botting or lag in any way??

If the PC is solely for botting, a dedicated graphics card won't be needed.

What GPU will you be using? I know you said you won't be playing any new/high-end games, but if you're just gonna be using integrated graphics either on the new AMD APUs or the iGPU on the Sandy Bridge Intel CPUs it won't run any games on max settings really, even games that aren't very recent. I'd be pretty surprised if the APU (the stronger of the two) could even run a game like Fallout NV decently :x.

But yeah just get a decent mid ranged AMD processor (APU if you're not getting a discrete GPU), 8GB of RAM (2x4GB kits are like $50-$60 on NewEgg now, 4GB probably won't run 4-6 bots very smoothly either) and for botting the GPU honestly doesn't matter.

Also, GPUs that are within a decent budget and will serve you well (since you're not doing any hardcore gaming):
    GTX 550 Ti
    GTX 460
    GTS 450

All of those can be bought within the $100-$150 range.

An APU is just AMD's version of a processor with an iGPU built into it. They're discrete level graphics, much better than that of the Intel HD Graphics 2000/3000. Definitely not great or anything but it would probably be fine for TF2.

Tbh there's no point in buying a cheap GPU then splurging later on. You just wind up with subpar performance and wasting more money than needed :/ save up until you can afford a decent one imo.
