Counter Scamming

I agreed at the start but now I changed my mind. I agree with xeleration.

It would be time consuming doing this Nick and we need all of the staffs time in the report a scammer section. If you want to reducde scamming take care of that section. You guys don't ban people right away and the same person scams even more.

Our users need to be able to trust the OMM's, and if we gave them permission to scam - even under controlled circumstances with good intentions - the system would fall apart. Even scammers don't take well to being scammed, and they would undoubtedly retaliate with claims of corruption. All it takes is a bit of doubt for users to turn elsewhere.

Additionally, not all scams are black and white, and genuine mistakes are inevitable.

Finally, our screening process is imperfect. Although it's been a long time since we've had any major problems, it does happen; a loophole allowing counter-scamming would only make it more difficult to detect true scams.

 

There would be too much work involved as the regular scam reports go un answered, then these would to.

 

There is no reason for this not to be put into place.

 

i like the idea but what if someone lies and says thats my account when its really not and you take it and give it to them.

Terrible idea. I agree with blindkilla and sin all the way.

I dont trust a few of the staff members as it is.. And giving them this much more power would really cause problems.
