Could mod please answer? Account recovered..

I had an account get recovered. I originally paid 10m for it, trained it up for fdk's and when it was recovered it had 20m in items on it. What would the seller be responsible for in returning? Idon't believe the seller recovered but a previous owner before me or something.

I thought 30m, 10m for acct plus items.

He said 10m just for the acct original sale.

I was about to sell the acct for 75m so even at 30m im taking a hit but it is what I thought he was responsible for based on previous similiar incidents.

 

I will wait on mods word but... you knew account could be recovered, everyone buying accounts should know it, if you make money in it, it shouldn't be covered. And even less if the seller wasn't original.

I'd say he is only responsible for the trade's worth.

 

Idk imo the seller is responcible for what was stolen but we will see.

 

I'd be fairly sure that it would be for the historic cost as opposed to any additional assets you yourself have placed on the account. Personally, I believe if we take an example to the extreme we can discern that it's probably the sale price as opposed to another price.

If you bought an account for 5m. You put 10 Christmas Crackers, 8 Party Hats, w/e think of what you want, let's say you put 30b of wealth on it. It got recovered. Would the person who sold you the account be liable for the 5m, or the $15,000? I personally think that it would be absurd to hold them responsible for the latter.

With the same scenario, a rule stating otherwise could be very easily manipulated. What if someone did put all those items on the account, and then remove them afterwards? They'd have the screenshot of all the items which may constitute as some form of proof, what then? It just seems absurd.

When you buy something from a shop and decide to return it, the refund you're entitled to is the sale price, and in many cases even lower. I don't think you'll find a shop that will refund your purchased goods for a far higher price than your original purchase price, and I don't believe Sythe is an exception.

 

This isn't a refund though so your logic is flawed, it was stolen. Plus I was never told of a previous owner, he said it was originally his real life friends who gave it to him. When it was recovered, he asked his rl friend about it, and his friend claimed he didn't recover it. So idk at this point if it was him, the friend, or what. With an acct being 10m originally and having 20m in items on it, he could steal it back and pay me 10m from the stolen 20m and have the acct? How is that fair?

As far as I'm aware, you're only able to claim the amount that the account was bought for, so in your case; 10m.

 

Report him, & theres not meny people on this site u can buy accounts off as if now learnt.
