I Can tell you were I'm not...
I am downloading some Mp3's from a certain website... (Dad blocked the port that limewire uses, If you know how to get past that you can also post that) The website is Jamglue. When I download the song, it seems to be extremely long, sometimes 20-30 min. But the song plays to its normal lengths, then when the song is supposed to be over it either keeps playing until it says the song is supposed to be over, or it just stops. My PC media player (Songbird) plays the songs alright, but when I try to stream them to my Xbox it says the filetype isn't supported. When I check the properties of the song on my PC, it says that the length is the correct length, it is just when I play it on a media player that it changes things around.

So my question really is, is their a program to fix it? (or get past the port/IP block on limewire)

I have had these problems before on some other websites like e-mp3 and things.

And please don't say "Downloading songs is illegal m'kay?" I don't care about your opinion, and don't care about the law. All I want is my question answered. Thanks.

atta boy "who cares about the law" :) lol anyway most likely, yur dad tweaked the router to block that port, check the settings to unblock the port. if you tell me the router company i could prolly help you. and like winterdreamz said, torrents is way better, faster, and reaps better results since you can download full albums and stuff...

the firewall is a D-Link Gaming Firewall. I have tried brute forcing it using an HTML brute forcer (Brutus), and local brute forcer (LC5). The LC5 got me the password to the server, so I had complete control of our network for a while, but he eventually caught on that I knew the password (this was months ago). So he changed it and disabled the way I found the password (doing something weird with the network). A little later I logged into the router as a user (can edit no settings) and I found that the administrator account had its password displayed in asterisks. So I downloaded a asterik password reveler or something like that and it gave me the password again. This time my dad found out real quick how I did it, and disabled the User account altogether.

I never really figured out how to use Brutus.

well if you can help, there you go.

and btw, he blocked the port that torrents use to. So even if I can download the torrent package, it still cannot download through the program.

No my dad is not an idiot.

If you have physical access to the router, you can (in most cases), just reset it. But seeing how you said your dad isn't an idiot, he'd find out in a heartbeat.
You can, however, pretty much google up any son you want by typing
Code:
-inurl:htm -inurl:html intitle:"index of" mp3 "your artist/song/album here"
into Google. Just replace the your artist/song/album with what you want (while keeping the quotes intact).

Do you guyz know what happened to LimeWire? It stopped working for most people around 6 months ago. It still runs, but when I click on a song to downlaod it, it won't download. I think it has to do with Firewall, but I can't fix the problem. All the other programs I tired have many problems. They don't save the music in my Itunes music file. If anyone can help me, I would highly appreciate it.
