    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

Perhaps the most "genius person around" but that doesn't make you a genius.

No one sees himself as a villain. He committed unthinkable atrocities, but he thought he was liberating his race. Is his being insane his fault? Perhaps. I still hate him for what he has done, but consider it from a different viewpoint.

Genius is determined by what we defined genius to be. If there is no one left but you, there are standards, and therefore while you may be the smartest, you are also the dumbest, and so on.

    Irrelevant to the discussion.

Your grammar is amusing. And yes he made a difference, but please explain what this has to do with the topic.

To be a genius, you must have an IQ of 160 or higher. And not an internet IQ test, the real tests. Of course, as time goes on the definition fluctuates, but as long as humans are around, a genius will be defined by our terms. And we won't be around forever, 99.99% of any race that has ever lived has gone extinct.

Ok, so you never think in your mind that your intellect is higher then other peoples, ever?

I'm not trying to bloat my ego, and why would I do it on the internet anyways? To random people I'm never going to meet? Waste of my time really.

You can be so obsessed with a concept/idea that it consumes you to the point of insanity. You could also be insanely Genius.

A really good example of brilliant strategist was in Ancient China, a mastermind that went by the name Zhuge Liang. He wasn't reffered to as insane, instead he was held in high sight by all the people and commanders as being the best strategist.

    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

In my mind a genius is anyone who is able to take a new concept, never before implemented into our society, and have it be an smashing success. All inventions that can cut time, cost, or increase efficiency, are considered to be made by a genius in my opinion. Just think, would you EVER, have thought of a Microwave to cut the time it takes to make food items by HEAPS of time? Sure, you may have thought there was something to be needed, but did you think of the invention? No- The person who invented must have been a genius if the average human could not think of that concept.

    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

If you put it that way, then there really is no way to determine what genius is, seeing how genius is a relative term

    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

Genius and insanity seem quite different to me. I believe a genius is labeled insane for the simple fact that the average human brain can't comprehend what a genius brain comprehends. Therefore instead of calling them a genius for their ideas, they are often labeled as insane. I often think about how things work, I find myself wanting to learn more and more about things. However my friends cannot comprehend the things I often think about. I would classify myself as above average for the fact they don't understand my thoughts. However between genius and insanity I believe their is a large gap.

Hitler was a genius speaker. He had a way of captavating people when he spoke.

Somehow I find it amusing that you complain about his grammar. Your sentence is clearly a fragment. ". And yes he made a difference"

    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

Reading that post I just had to recommend Tool to you, but then I saw that picture of Alex Grey in your signature :p

    Anyway ontopic,

I think a certain level of insanity is needed to see things other people are blind to see. If everyone was the same and follow the main stream of everything, no new things would be developped, discovered or even thought about.

I think even experimenting little things or discovering stuff are the little bits of 'insanity' in the supposedly 'normal human'. But men like Einstein are just so high in this insanity level that they can 'invent' complex theories while some people would just faint reading it.

Ofcourse as mentioned before, those genii(if that's the right plural?) still need to have the contact with the normal human world. I'm sure there are people right now able to think of stuff that the society will not know in a few hundred years, but just because they can't word it right, people are just thinking that person is 'mad', 'insane'. It's just a 'normal' reaction of rejecting things that people cannot understand or don't want to understand I guess.

And what makes you think that that person with an IQ of 160+ won't be labeled as 'insane' or 'abnormal' by the people surrounding him? In my opinion you don't even have to have an IQ of that high to be labeled 'abnormal', even not thinking what most of the people are thinking will get you that label.

    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

Im able to completely rid my mind of thoughts, so it is like I am communicating with the world, but withought a brain. Its quite nice knowing that if I get tired of thinking, I can just sit down, relax, and turn off all of this so that I wont be bugged by random thoughts all the time. It is like you removed this whole part of you out from yourself to be peaceful. Also, if I want, I can start thinking again. Is this insanity, genius, abnormality, or human nature?

You should read up on meditation, it's basically training yourself to use the abilities you have just described. Your would probably enjoy it.

    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

In my eyes insanity actually takes over when a person can no longer attend their very own basic needs, and must have someone else's help to perform simple tasks. Genius on the other hand, is when someone fully functioning has people do their tasks for them, so they can have more time to enjoy their lives ;).

    Correlation between Insanity and Genius.

There are a ton of insane people in the world who can still look after themselves. A genius does not mean that they are 'fully functioning and has people do their tasks for them', so if I won the lottery and I was fully functioning that makes me a Genius, your a cretin kid.
If I were you I'd dam right go back to high-school kid.

Your definitions make no sense what-so-ever.
