Contact lens stuck in eye.

My contact lens got stuck in my eye last night, Im in a foriegn country (vietnam) and I will get back to the UK on friday. Im wearing daily contact lenses, tried to wash it out with solution with no luck. Do I risk it until thursday and go the opticition in England or go to eye clinic in vietnam. Whats the risk of infections ect?

any help would be great!

 

Eye contacts can never get "stuck in your eyes", they will fall out on their own eventually.

And never use solution...WATER is the key.
Rinse your eyes continuously, the lens should fall out.

Try to take a steamy shower then wash eyes out.

 

Is it in the corner of your eye/behind your eye or actually dried onto your eye?

I wear contacts and both have happened to me before.

 

its in the bottom left corner, tried everything to get it out. seems stuck and hesitant to put water in the eye because of infection from the dodgy vietnemese water.

 

Have you tried lifting your bottom eye lid and seeing if you can see any part of it? Once I thought mine was gone but it had just been scrunched up under my eye lid on the side. Also you could try to use bottled water if you have access to any to help.

 

its not irritating anymore and when i woke up i think it fell out but not sure. cant see or feel it anymore will go to the opticitans on thursday back in england to get it checked out.

 

I am a contact lense user and many things have happened to me. the stuck in your eyes crap is all a myth and can never get fully stuck.

try holding the side of your eye like a chinese and stretching which will help it fall out.

or rinsing with water..

if you cant feel it then its 99.9% gone

 

Yea if you don't feel irritated then it most likely came out at some point, but still going to the optician is a good idea just to be sure.

 

Just buy the most expensive bottled water if you're that scared. I wouldn't want to put dodgy water on my eyes either, so I think it'd be worth buying some expensive water and getting it out, if you haven't by now.

 

Have you seen a doctor yet?

 

Wash cold water then see doctor / eye speceialist

 

If you in a foreign country DO NOT USE THE WATER. You will just make it worse
Look into a mirror pour solution in, stare up at the ceiling while holding your thumb and index to you eyelid and pinch your eyelid, repeat until it comes out

 

Please post how it turned out, I'm guessing it fell out as that tends to happen, but interested if it stayed in possibly.

 

It will fall out eventually, happened to me once.

 

Contacts getting stuck in the eyes sounds painful, thats the one reason I don't want them.

 

I'd go see a doc to help you get it out if you can't yourself. No harm done honestly.

 

Did it result in infection?
