Constant Disconnection - I've had about enough

Ok i'll try to keep calm in this post, but no promises..

Recently i've been having disconnection problems. I'm using Orange Broadband (Flame me for being with orange and i'll report your post, simple). Sounds like your average problem, right? Wrong. I'll tell you why.

- 2 Other computers on the same network working perfectly, no disconnection/lag
- I'm using wired broadband, wireless doesn't let me connect at all

I've always had to go wired, but for the past week i haven't been able to get anything done, regardless of the fact that i am wired.

What i've tried
- Resetting the router
- Unplugging and plugging back in ADSL Filter
- Running the Orange Livebox Setup Disk
- Every stupid, irrelevant idea that the foreigner working in Orange Technical Support can think of.

After nearly 2 hours on the phone to a foreigner who could hardly speak English, i've had just about enough. What the **** am i meant to do?

Heres a few examples of what has been happening to me:
- Disconnected from server on WoW and Aion after 20-30 seconds of being logged in.
- Logging into runescape, not being able to click for 20 seconds then being disconnected.
- Pages take from 30 seconds - 5 minutes to load. Usually timed out due to taking so long to load a page.
- Error messages when loading pages such as: This webpage is not available.

________ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.


Why i think this may be
I think this may be due to me not being able to update via Windows Update. I heard there has been a big update for Windows Vista recently, but whenever i try to run windows update..:

Windows could not search for new updates.
