I swear gym mirrors make people look more ripped than they are. I feel like I look twice my size in them. And it's not even pump, they just seem to make you look way bigger.

    Anyone else feel like this?

no, they are regular mirrors, at least over here, not sure what they are in the states (assuming you are from the states). One explanation is that you're just pumped up and that's why

They are real. However, take into account that like DRSX says, you're pumped up. Also, remember the lighting is better in areas like this. It encourages people to keep coming.

The mirrors are just trying to motivate you by showing what you could become if you focused more on your gains

This is pretty much it. Gyms have great overhead lighting. Makes you look bigger.

Has anyone considered that you always look bigger during/after you workout and overtime your muscle mass gradually decreases? So if you looked at the mirror at the gym and looked at your mirror at home and noticed a significant difference, there is your reason.
