Consolidate all rules stickies

Just thinking, and I feel like it was way too hard as a staff member to find rules pertaining to specific cases in order to find the right punishment, or to back up a ban or infraction you issued based on the rule. Often times, the rule I'm looking for isn't where you'd think it should be because it has an extraneous connection with a whole 'nother sub-forum in the market, so you spend much too long searching for this sticky. Other times, the rule simply doesn't exist, but mods assume it does because we've been punishing for it. We don't know this because we don't spend every waking moment memorizing verbatim all of the dozens of section-stickied rules.

What I suggest is consolidate EVERY RULE and every guideline for posting into the Sythe.org Official Rules thread found here: http://sythe.org/sythe-org-news/148431-sythe-org-official-rules.html

The OP would remain the same, containing the forum's general rules, but then a mod would annotate all of the other forum-stickied rules into replies on that thread. Then, in the section, we would link the specific post pertaining to that forum in the sticky. So, say you have a sticky in non-virtual items. After this update, the sticky would simply be a redirect when clicked on, and it would take you straight to the specific post inside the Sythe.org Official Rules forum, like this:

Either that, or leave the stickies as is, but copy all of them into the Sythe.org Official Rules so mods have a quick reference. I think the former idea would look more professional though.

 

I'm down with putting all the section specific rules into the Official Rules.

I wonder if it's possible to make stickied threads that act like redirecting forums. For example, the Sythe Official Rules link on the home page LOOKS like a subforum under "Rules & Donations", but it's actually a link to a thread.

So then, is it possible to make a sticky in each section (to replace the current rules/guideline stickies), and have that thread actually redirect to the corresponding post INSIDE of the Sythe Official Rules thread when you click on it?

Say you replace the rules sticky in Non-Virtual Sales with a redirecting link. So when you click on the thread titled "Non-Virtual Sales Rules and Guidelines", it would redirect you to the specific post link of the corresponding set of rules inside Sythe Official Rules. I think this would be a good system, because then similar sets of rules (say for both Non-Virtual Sales and Purchases) can be modular. You can just link the same specific post inside Sythe Official Rules rather than having to post a duplicate copy of the rules in 2 or 5 or 1,000,004 different subsections.

This is sort of what I tried to explain in the OP, but Superman said he was confused on my intention, and even when he said he understood what I meant, I feel like we still weren't on the same page....... shits hard to communicate.

Not sure the single post thing is possible. Only roundabout way would be having a sub section type look that linked to the post, I think.
