Connection Issues

This has recently hindered my LoL experience and it's making me quite frustrated.

Here is my internet connections/speeds:

I play with around 85~ ping. After about 10 minutes, I begin to have connection issues. It's constantly dcing, lagging, etc. This wasn't happening in the beginning when I played ( a month ago)

I share this internet with about 5 other people. I play LoL on my Macbook Air laptop.

Is it bad internet? Bad laptop? Too many people sharing the same internet?

Nope, it's League itself.

I have this same issue all the fucking time and according to the forums, a lot of other people have this problem too.

OP are the other 4 people using you're internet downloading/streaming etc?
That would cause lag like what you have.

I used to have extremely poor wifi, where if I even opened a web browser my ping would spike from 60 to 150-200.

Now (finally) my upgrade has arrived. heres my speeds:

Not much different to yours as you can see, so unless someone is raping your internet with downloads etc panda could be right?

 

Could be a hardware issue. Could be the others using all the bandwidth on the connection. Could be the LoL server acting up. Could be your ISP throttling the connection as already mentioned.

Try to eliminate one cause at a time. Try playing on another computer. When no one else is on the network. With a VPN, etc. Help single out the issue.

Like i recommended you on the LoL chat, give WTFast a go. i dont personally like it, but for some it has worked for league.

 

This rarely occurs to me and when it does, its always my sister watching youtube or using internet to download an app -_-, I always tell her not to when I play a match and when she doesn't, it works smoothly , someone in your family is probably doing the same.

 

Where do you live and on what server do you play?

I live in central USA. Play on NA server.

 

I do also believe this could be due to LoL itself, have had the issue myself since last update.. can play some games fine others i will last 10mins then dc

 

Have you disabled firewall? Also league has been having some issues with their severs so.

I play league on a consistent 10-20 ping. I think its a little bit got to do with league but also of the fact you probably got to many people using the same internet as yours or high bandwidth apps are running at the same time EG, skype and ect.. Maybe your internet provider is going down.. There is SO many reasons why it could happen..
