Confirming skype using quick find

When receiving a pm confirmation including users skype i would highly suggest copy/pasting it into your browsers "quick find" feature to make sure you're actually speaking to the same user and not just someone with similar name with some hard to notice letters switched up.

If everything matches correctly it should highlight it for you in your browser

You can make "quick find" appear by clicking "/" on mozila or "ctrl+f" on chrome

 

if they are too lazy to read a name right, they arent gonna do that either

 

Well you can't always do that since skype isn't case sensitive and you can easily make very hard to notice names

 

Alternatively you could use discord like most people do nowadays due to skype's lack of security.

 

Much easier to imposter scam inexperienced users on discord though with nitro and people changing their names constantly.

 

The unique ID function is pretty helpful.

 

Skype is sketch, and so is discord, but what can you really do to combat imposters. It’s never ending.
