    Computer Overheating - Solved!

Sometimes my computer overheats and automatically restarts whenever i try to open a large applications then something like MSN or AIM.

The reason why, is because my computer stays on for days on end, making the computer think i need to use alot of CPU. Here's the solution.

    Speedfan.

It's a great program that cools your computer down, by turning down the CPU used.

    Here's the download.

I wouldn't use for anything other the Runescape, like don't use for WoW because WoW uses alot of CPU naturally. If WoW fucks your computer up, just get more RAM.

It's just a helpful solution. No need to get smart.

Giving another solution is, "getting smart?"

No, but your solution had nothing to do with mine. Yours was an obvious, quick and easy method that everyone knows, therefore it looked like a free post count to me. This thread is for ME to help those with a computer overheating problem. Make a thread about your own if you'd like, or something similar to mines.

I just see no need in downloading something and loosing memory when you can do other things that don't effect your computer in a more serious way.

Well if your current computer has only 1GB of ram, outdated fan and graphics card, then this also help. No need to say there's no need. It helps me, so now i'm sharing. It's up to the other members to download or not. Thanks for the opinion though.

I don't think it's possible for a program to cool your computer down, unless it makes it use less CPU. You would need to replace a fan to make it cooler.
