    ntel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 2011 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80619i73820. its a 2nd gen. I'm thinkin about getting this one cus it supports quad channel of 1600mhz ddr3 ram, when the other 3rd gens i was looking at supports only dual channel.... thoughts?

    299.99 so its around 30# cheaper then the 2770k but around 100$ more then the 3570k (i5) but thats not a big issue

    I personally am not a fan of Sandy Bridge, however, for the price it's good.

    I'd spend the extra $30 for the 3770K so you can overclock it.. But if you don't plan on OC'ing it really then the 3820 is fine, make sure you get XMP compatible DDR3 1600 ram.

    the sandy oc's to 3.8 and starts with 3.6, the 3770k oc's to 3.9.... not much of a difference im thinkin
