Community Promotion Candidates?

Hi guys. For the first time ever, we've decided that we're going to open promotion suggestions to the community.

However, it should be noted that we will not automatically select those who have been nominated,
and that any suggestions we take will still have to pass an Upper Staff poll as is customary.

2. You must substantiate your nomination with examples of good character, helpfulness, and other qualities you think are appropriate for staff members
3. You should also provide an argument

Argument for user being promoted:

He's amazingly pro at programming. He recieved a scholarship to uni after studing C# for 4 hours before the exam!
He's worked in Web Development for the last 4 years, and is basically a PHP master, but also can administer servers and
generally a pretty pro guy with computers.
Why just recently he helped both Atomic and Vic fix their sites. Before that, he helped TDD with his programming work!
He's even previously worked on both Simba and SRL related things (which are of course directly related to RS macroing).

Evidence that the user is of good character and would make a good staff member:

He's known a VERY large amount of staff after whoring IRC for so many years. In fact, I believe Finn and ss23 used to be really good friends (ss23 says he loves you <3).
Not only that, but he's very likably by most people on both IRC and the forums.
Citing a post in teh spam forum very recently, he made a post in a thread, and there were multipule people who knew who he was, regardless of his 15 post status.
He's also ran several communnity based events back in NZ so already knows how to deal with people amazingly, and also moderate forums.
Specific examples are hard to come by given his inactivity specifically on the forums, but a LOT of ex-staff/mods, as well as lots of current
ones should be able to vouch for his good character, including myself.

Argument for user being promoted:Intelligent, active and responsible as in his short amount of time has already aquired the OMM rank and a high number of post showing his activness. All his post i have seen around runescape section have had meaning to them not just a "good luck" to get post count up but offer some advice to his knowledge which is deffinitly helpful as i got some advice in one of my thread's

The high number of vouche's and OMM rank aquired show's he is trusted and the quality of most of his post offering advice around the runescape area's are detailed and punctual (my punctuation is shit)

I think he is very helpfull and knows how to handle things.

I think he would be a great addition because as I stated above, he knows how to handle things. I've known him since he joined Sythe and I can't see anyone other than him getting this position. He also has ALOT of vouches including the Official middleman rank proving that he's trusted and only wants well.

I think he would fit as a market mod since he deals with Runescape related items all the time, and because of that experience a Market mod would be the best position for him.

Argument for user being promoted:

I believe that plznate would make an excellent market moderator. With nearly 5000 posts and having donated $100, it is clear that he has tremendous dedication to the community. He is already an Official Middleman, making him one of the most trusted members on Sythe. He is an official guide verifier, and knows about as much as anyone else on this forum about the runescape market. Additionally, he is one of the most active traders on Sythe, with over 500 vouches.

Plznate not only has the trust and experience to make a good moderator, but also the character and capability. He was selected to be a User Educator, proving that he makes insightful posts, and has willingly spent his time to help other members. He actively reports posts for spam, and has caught many ban evaders. I fully support Plznate becoming a Market Moderator.

Even after the short time I've been on IRC he seems really nice. I've seen him help lots of people with various computer related issues, and he's on the computer almost 20/7, so activity isn't an issue

Arugment for user being promoted:

I really think he would be a good moderator. He doesn't try too hard to try and impress staff. From seeing him post on the forum, if he was made mod I'm confident he would be a nice open mod, who knows when to be lenient (I think knowing when to be lenient is an important quality), but also able to be impartial. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that holds a grudge, I don't believe he would ignore a user because of something they said or did in the past.

He knows how to joke around, but is able to be serious as well.

Argument for user being promoted:I believe, that iPhone would be perfect runescape market moderator, becouse he is very trustable, friendly, have 40+ vouches, 400 posts but he is going to have more

He has shown that he can be trusted with highly valued things. He is not immature and when in the spam forum he keeps it low key and doesnt go overboard like other people. He is always happy to mm for you and is always pointing out flaws in scammers threads. He has donated alot to help the site and is always helpful to other members when they have a question. He doesnt take sides when there is an argument and always tries to resolve the situation so both parties walk away fair. He knows alot about the current market and can easily tell if someone is bullshitting or not.
Hes proven himself to be an amazing middleman and OMM and has earned a user educator rank and 2k+ posts which are all helpful and not spam.

Argument for user being promoted: He is a great guy that likes helping people out. He has contributed a lot to Sythe over his time on the site with good posts and is always willing to help people out without taking into consideration who they are. He is usually quite intelligent and has helped me out loads of times before.
I first thought of nominating him for a Market position due to his 110 ban evader caught record but then I realized that he once told me that he liked Off Topic much better.

Argument for user being promoted: He is a very active, frequent poster and has helped contribute to Sythe greatly with numerous different sales in the market section, reasonable arguments in the something for all section, has helped numerous people in the community general section and given great idea/feedback for people in all sections. Finally he is easy to get on with.


Well as I am nominating him for the Market mod he knows how to use the market. He has had many successful business there such as his skill training, membership shop, and has sold a bounty full of items in the item trade section. With all that experience he has there he should have the knowledge to moderate the section easily and cleanly. Not to mention that he has a nearly complete Omm application (16/25) and constantly MM'ing for anybody. But beside that he has caught many highly trusted user such as (Drewskyd, Doodle, Hookups etc etc).

From the bottom of page 3 and the whole page 4, he has shown what could the possible problems and issues with the new market. He questions it so all Sythe members can see what the rules and regulations are, this leads me to believe that he has the best interest for the site in this thread.

He has offered free mming on Sythe from different forums. Usually these forums I see are strongly Sythe=scam. But time after time he trys to convince them that they Sythe isn't full of scammers. Here is just one example of him doing it.

Something that's amazing is that he has never had a scam report on him. I don't I see too many people with 2.5k+ post and over 150 vouches have that done.

Plznate is a very formidable nominee for market mod due to his state of maturity and positive attitude. He is very helpful and pleasant to speak to. Plznate is always active on the market with his own skilling business, as well as browsing through forums to buy/sell accounts. Another asset plznate has is that he very trusted amongts the community. Along with the fact he retains the rank of OMM he also has a strong base of 529 vouches, which is climbing everyday. I would also like to include that Plznate has donated $100 to sythe and almost has 5k posts overall (4900 atm). I believe that Plznate will be able to fulfill the duties of a market mod and will excel in it.

333 is an outstanding member and doesn't receive the appreciation that he deserves. He's quite active in the off-topic section and has been around long enough to learn the ropes as to what the criteria of a quality moderator is. He always helps me, one of the nicest guys that cares about sythe members and always is going to be there for help. As of right now little/none of the market mods know anything about steam accounts and rohail knows about them so it'd be a great addition.
