Community Awards

You won't find "unbiased" judges here on Sythe. These judges would also have to excluded from the voting, and I don't see that being possible if they earned the right to be included in the ballot.

I don't mind, but I'd like to see a change in function if possible.

 

Bump, i think this would promote alot more activity for prizes , ranks, mini ranks.

I was kinda of active when the community awards were around and i agree with excelont's point about more activity involving member's, and i don't believe that all the popular people who won before are still around so it may be more competitive, so support

 

The voting system is what killed it. Whoever got the most votes in the first 10 posts always won because it was just follow the leader after that.

I defiantly wont participate without anonymous voting.

 

So you're suggesting.. perhaps a different voting system?

A google doc form? Pm your votes?

 

either change the voting system or this is just a huge waste of time

 

We already have the Sythe Awards yearly.

It has similar categories and voting, people get handed out minis and announced in the Sythe Quarterly.

I think at the end of the year is fun, but monthly/quarterly is too often.

 

we could do two rounds of voting. round one where people toss names into a bag to give people 10 (?) names to pick from for each category. round two where the actual voting happens.

or could just do a surveymonkey/strawpoll/typeform and ask people to vote in one round, but i feel like a lot of the people who vote don't really know too many people on-site so may be best to give them a shortlist to pick from

 

dont agree tbh, that shit was always cringe dicksuck fest anyway, and community inactive market faggots would always just message everyone they knew to vote for them.
