Help With Understanding This...........

I have been looking for something to get better graphics with a source so i can figure out how they did it. The visual of this is amazing to me and how everything rotates like its freely rotating. I looked at source and got so confused i just was wondering if any one can help me understand the graphics and how everything is moving and rotating again im completely baffled. It looks completely diffrent from how i would make this. Again it amazes me cause i cant make anything like it such as picture boxes and timers.
