Coming back after a very long break.

Hi! I'm Jordan, a typical 20 year old from England.. I quit Runescape Years ago.. Just when those 5 year cape thingies came out? Before Runespan and all that..Anyway -

I want to get back into Runescape, I intend to try and log into an old account I've got, assuming it's not banned :nuts: And I've got a few questions regarding Runescape as it is now..

What's it like? I know it's a vague question, but when I quit my main many moons ago I knew literally everything there was to know about Runescape, quests off the back of my hand, best way to train skills and literally everything of the sort - I was maxed combat with 4 or 5 99 skill's too, I'm oldschool, that is probably the easiest way to describe it :love:

What's a good way to make money on a new account? When I started, it was killing chickens in Lumbridge farms for a few hours, before heading off to those cows and tanning the hides!

And just in general, is there anything else I should know?

The chances are I'll hate it, but I want to give it another go!

 

With your maxed combat stats, I would say Bossing would be your easiest source of money. But, EoC has made it so easy to earn money that it is ridiculous. Due to the decrease of bots, some items have skyrocketed in price so it may be wise to train fishing and farming/herblore as well.

 

After reading your reply I've realized my OP didn't make any sense haha.. that old main account with maxed melee is banned :'(

 

Aww now that makes better sense.

Best way to do it is get the stats required to start bossing and essentially train what I stated above. Same principle

 

You should try out 07! Its pretty fun for me and makes me want to play. w
With RS3 and EoC nowadays its to confusing and not much fun.

 

After coming back after years you will probably notice that skilling/money making is WAY easier than beforehand. The new combat system is weird and will probably take awhile to get used to.

 

I've done combat. might just skill this account! I used to love clanning, so might just get like.. idk, I want stats to F2P war basically.. so will have to max again.. Is F2P warring still alive??

 

Alot of RS is dead now a days.

 

If your old school, I honestly think you will dislike rs3. However, osrs (2007 rs) might be great for you! Only sad thing is that you will have to restart and get membership to play it..

 

I would only start playing RS again if pre-EOC RS comes back.

 

Agreed, rs3 is really confusing now, 07 is way more fun especially if you are oldschool player You should really check it out only thing left in rs3 is pvm and stuff.

 

I did actually play a friends 07 account. I did enjoy it, but I felt I've done it all before.. It was nostalgia and what not, but I didn't enjoy it as much as thought I would, although I did enjoy playing RuneSpan on his EOC account.

 

RS3 is so bad. Like, seriously. I was addicted since I was 10 or something and now I can't stand logging in.

 

The only real fun I have anymore is playing RS with IRL friends and doing xp gaining challenges. I enjoy PvM to a point but I'm more of a skiller.

Ehh, I don't think so personally. The game was beginning to get stale for me anyways and then eoc/rs3 tipped me over the edge.

 

Warring is pretty much only active on 07, PvP as a whole is deserted on RS3

 

Fuck me. It's literally died then.. Never expected that so soon to be honest.

 

Warring and Minigames are pretty much dead. If you're thinking of skilling, it's a lot easier than it used to be, just do hunter and divination for some cash and then spend the cash on the easy ones.

 

Cash stack is decent on the account from 80 RC. What Divination(?) Like? What do you have too do?
