If nobody else can be bothered to answer the questions why shouldn't they be answered. Most of the time I put decent answers, it's very rare when I just write 2 word ones. Providing links etc to help the user is a good thing, maybe some people should learn that the questions are there to be answered, not just to be left.

He used to do that much more frequently, but used to backseat mod. Most of his posts would be bumping a thread telling them that it doesn't belong there, when he could have just reported it and let it die.

Yeah, I used to just post where they belong/answered etc. The only change I've made is that for those I just report them while if they need an answer I normally just answer it.
