I made the C4D, he did all PS work

Blend the c4d in better, there was so much you two could do with this LP but
you guys didn't do it.

 

It's my first LP, didn't know what kind of stuff to do.

I'll go look at dA for inspiration.

 

You gotta blend the c4d. Around the edges it's all nasty.

 

Yeah, I tred to get rid of that but I couldn't. >_<

 

Smudge tool???

 

Use the lasoo (sp?) tool, feather 20xp, and circle the C4D render.
Right-click > Select Inverse
Press delete
Press it again if you need to blend it more.

That's just basic blending that I use, but it might not be best suited for your project. Bear in mind the above instructions are just what I prefer to do, are from memory, and are no instructions by professionals since I don't use tutorials.

What you need to do is have the C4D as a transparent PNG before using it

If you open it in photoshop and insert a black background, you get this.

Something is wrong somewhere with your render settings, I'd wager.

I'm not an expert on C4D, so I can't help you fix it.

 

Strange, I don't know why I missed it last time I was working on it...

 

What I would do:

Zoom in to 500-1600%.

Grab the eraser tool [5px].

Add a black background layer.

Erase the white you don't want around the edge of the render.

Erase the rest with a bigger eraser tool.

This is called rendering the subject. In this case it was a C4D render. I've never thought there was a better way to do it. Sure, there are faster ways, bu they are choppy, or insufficient in some other way, that end up with less quality in the project.
