I'm guessing he recovered the account? What's going on?

Yes the account was recovered and after I contacted him on Skype about it, he immediately went offline and did not reply to me so I believe he blocked me. The recovery details that I was given by him when purchasing the account did not work and now my email has been de-registered and password changed etc.

I have opened a dispute with PayPal to try and get my money back but it does not look promising so far.

 

Do you have any proof he recovered the account ?

What do you need as proof? The account was locked and I attempted to recover the account using the recovery information however it was unsuccessful so the info he gave me was incorrect.

I can provide a screenshot of the Skype conversation where I ask him about the account being recovered and he replies with a question mark and then immediately goes offline.

 

Why are some screenshots taken on a mac and others on a PC ?

Bootcamp. I was in windows when I started the appeal request so I took that one screenshot I needed then. The older ones were taken during the transaction and I got them from my online backup service.

 

Considering what an account like that is worth, the fact he sold it for a lot less and he went "offline" as soon as you confronted him, I doubt he ever intended to sell the account without recovering it.

I have temporarily banned the user so he does not scam someone else while we take care of this.
