    Coffeefilter ~ Scammer

    Scammers Sythe name: Coffeefilter

Briefly explain the trade: We were trading 14m for a Runescape upgrade. I was the one purchasing the upgrade. After a brief talk we agreed to trade in a half and half format. We both agreed to this. I handed over 7m RSGP, and then was given the phone number to enter. After entering the number an error occurred stating that the AT&T would not allow the purchase. I informed coffeefilter of this and he replied saying he will fix this. After claiming that the problem had been resolved, we tried again ~ the same error occurred. Coffee then claimed that it had worked, and $9 had been removed from his account. This was not the case, and anyway a upgrade of this type costs $7.99 which is evidence that he lied. Shortly after he logged out. Screenshots where taken as evidence of this.

How they scammed: Logged out half way through a 50/50 upgrade trade

Proof that you were not talking to an impostor: Name was told to me by the user on Sythe via PM. i can provide a print screen of this if required.

    Trade screenshots:

First image shows are first discussion about how the trade would be completed. (note 14m is removed from my pouch at this stage)

Trading the money, and receiving his details to enter. Note that he asks me to trade the money to his other account at this stage.

Evidence of upgrade failure: (i have edited out my account name)

Telling him the upgrade failed: his response and then logs

initially removed 14m for the trade, 7m remains as he logged half way. Notice how the username of the scammer has changed in this image. he told me to add that account as it was his main. evidence of this is shown in a previous shot.

Additional: posted on his upgrade thread to warn other users and the user "AgentPerry" said this:

I gave the user sufficient chance to return the money by messaging him on Sythe, which he ignored. Thank you for taking the time to look at this report, i hope you take the necessary actions against this scammer.
