    I THINK that Sheriff's deputies were going on a random house drug search and that particular home was one of the ones that was invaded.

    During whatever the fuck was going on (you can insert here), one of the deputies accidentally fired a shot and it struck the side of the doorway, making wood chips fly towards him. They thought that it was the Marine inside the house that fired and so they began firing at the house?
