    You could of been phished dude, someone incorrectly tried to recover your account?

    or Jagex has fucked you up

    Original owner hacked it back , but knew your pass so changed it back to original one?

    It might be something stupid like you accidentally typed in a space after your email. When you tried recovering the account, did it prompt you for an email or did it go straight to the recovery page?

    Jagex removed it because they think that you are not the original owner.

    Just re-register it and nevermind about it.

    Ouch, goodluck getting it back, send a email to JaGeX, but don't say your not the original owner Lol.

    Did it have cash/items on it? (much value)

    For the record, there is an email set, it is apparently just not yours. Idk how though. If there were no email set at all, it would just take you straight to the recovery page and not prompt for an email

    It sounds like maybe the guy who sold you the account was logging in to it or something? Accounts will often get locked if there is a sudden change of IP's logging into the account, or if multiple people are logging in.

    Is there any way you can contact the guy who sold it to you so you can discuss this? It would be best to try and gather as much information about the situation before you attempt to recover the account.

    The only way to lock an account is to submit a recovery request, you might want to contact the original owner and see what the problem is.

    I'd reccomend Emailing jagex, i did that and got a personal response withing 1 hour.

    I made a thread raging about jagex in the cotact section I had my account back in less then 5 Mins.

    If your orginal owner they will check your IP and either post on thread saying account info has been reset use first password to recover only or PM you on the account you posted on.

    I have had the same and still have't had any luck I was told by Video to add the the old Ip from the person who used to own the old account, but its very tricky, I think you can only recover it back in recover and account, however best of luck

    Costa, it was completely unnecessary deleting all our posts - they added to the discussion, and would help other members narrow down what the problem could be.

    Simular thing happened to me, but I actually had my account recoveries working... someone else got my account recoveries too ( from a rat ) . So I posted a thread on Runescape telling the J-MODS someone else knows my first ever recovery questions. So jagex set my recovery question to the first ever date ( LIKE I NEVER USED RECOVERIES BEFORE ) it was cool... now the first recoveries I used for my main don't work, I got a brand new set of first recoveries. Jagex do help with these problems... they will sort it out for you I'm sure of it. Took 2 - 3 day's for them to do this, because it had to go to another part of there team.
