How they scammed: I traded them the gold and they still have yet to send the btc.

After looking at my PM's, it appears that someone has gained unauthorised access onto my account, since last Thursday, where the first hello message has been sent. Unfortunately I hadn't checked my inbox/outbox recently so I did not know my account had been compromised. Today while I was at uni, this person has PM'd multiple people and found a "victim" of "Golden Plug".

A factor to keep in mind is, why would I throw away my Sythe account of which I have built a good reputation over the past 20 months?. I am the author and vendor of the "Modern Guide to Goldfarming", which I have been selling and still am selling to this current day. I still earn more revenue to this day from the book then I do from the transaction I have supposedly scammed him in. I also have 4 other threads/services I run and rely on my good reputation to operate them. I have no reason whatsoever to rob him of $37 and throw away this reputation I have earned from being a legitimate trader over the past 20 months.

Keep in mind that this is not confirmed, and if the claims I am making are false, I am happy to reimburse this user of the 32.5m 07 that he lost. It is solely my fault for not taking the precautions to prevent unauthorised access to my account and exposing my reputation to attempt to scam other users. If the transaction is proven to have been made and his claim is real, I will be paying him back 32.5m 07 when possible.

Golden Plug joined 2 days ago, on the 21st of August. If you look into his profile, you will see that he is allegedly already running a gold buying/selling service on Sythe with no feedback and no history on the site. In the last 2 days, he has been building feedback to make his account look more reputable.
Now, the question is if this account is actually a legitimate trader building feedback for his services, or if he is associated with the person that has gained control of my account. Whether it is a friend of the person, or the person himself, regardless it looks to be the case.

Here are some screenshots of the trade conversation, the messages of which were sent by the hacker of my account;

Does not want to go first, but suggests rather to do in increments, which is a much better option and reasonable.



Enforces the fact that he is not going first at all in this trade.



Then acts contrary to his previous statement of not going first, also disregards increments and wants to do 50/50 for coins / paypal funds.

Throughout these private messages, there is no actual proof that a trade actually occured, rather just messages saying that they met in game and apparently traded over 32.5m 07 to the hacker. There was no screenshot of the trade happening, and the trade was completed over Private Message rather than Skype. Very suspicious imo.

Here is a screenshot of my inbox. Thursday is when the messages first were sent, and then today/yesterday is when the hacker messaged multiple people attempting to find a victim.

 

This has never happened to me ever.
It's been close to an hour & it's yet to even be pending

 

When I sold Won 9b rs3, same thing happened. Judging by that picture, they use the same btc exchange and you should just wait a while. The btc didn't even start pending until 2 hours later.

hello moderator. it appears I have been hacked. looking through my PM's, somebody has taken control of my account today while I was at uni and has messaged a bunch of people trying to abuse my forum reputation to get them to go first and take their money.

I am happy to reimburse this user for the 32.5m he has lost as it is my fault for not having the necessary safety precautions to prevent unauthorised access of my account. Only if he is able to provide proof of this transaction actually happening. Since his account was made yesterday, it seems as though it could be the person who took control of my account trying to exploit the system to make me pay out the money I have allegedly taken.

Keep in mind I do not currently have 32.5m on me, so repayment will not be instant if this case is proven.

I am completely serious when I say this. I have gone through all the PM's on my account and now noticed that this person has had access to my account since Thursday last week. This is completely my bad buddy, and as soon as I can see proof that the transaction actually took place I am happy to reimburse you.

I have read the messages and have seen the supposed transaction logs, however, there is no proof to show that the trade actually happened. What is to say that you are not the person who gained access into my account and staged this? account was made yesterday, hence why I have these thoughts.

that is not proof. If you are the person who has gained access to my account, you could have easily written that message.

I will say it again, if you are a legitimate gold seller that has fallen victim to the scam of the person who used my account, I will pay up.

 

That's 100% proof and the mods will say so too, im clearly not the person who supposedly hacked you if you actually got hacked

 

Thursday 3:35am is the first post seen by the person using my account. As I have quite a few PM's from people and I PM quite a few people regarding all the services / threads I have, I did not realise these were made by a third party. This is why I say it is my bad for this scam occuring, if it is a real scam.

 

I'll just wait for a mod to tell you to refund or send me btc.
