I don't know if it's me, but it seems as if slayer capes are getting more popular. When I ask people for a way to make money, the majority of them say that slayer is the way to go. I don't understand though, I'm nearly 72 slayer and I get all these useless tasks that I actually lose money from, due to costs of prayer potions, such as black demons, greaters, hellhounds and even waterfiends sometimes. I want to know how to make some money off slayer, I'm 125 combat with a maul + crossbow, 99 str, 90 def, 92 attack and 72 summoning. Am I doing something wrong?
Slayer can get you maxed combat stats, while building up a steady bank with drops. and theres always those rare drops that are huge additions to your bank.
As you train slayer levels to around 80+, you'll begin getting better tasks and it's almost sure-fire that you'll make money from slayer once you bypass the level 80 mark. The drops steady out at a higher level with higher level monsters and you'll also be getting effigies and such. Keep up the slayer, go for 99, you'll see the profit.
for the past few years, slayer has been the standard for making money for normal people, and it's what i use,it's jsut now that alot of the casual players are catching up to the hardcore players slayer levels a key to profiting off of slayer tho, is combining farming along with it. All the potions i use for slayer, i grow the herbs for myself, so i make profit. plus try using a row for those extra special drops
I'm 79 slayer and soon 80, so I'll see how that goes, I was 72 aswell for a long time, because I want the falador shield 3 (now I've falador shield 4), but the road to 80 was very very boring, iron dragons, hell hounds, black demons, blood velds, dagannoths etc etc. Gl.
