Chaotic Rapier vs. Chaotic Longsword vs. Chaotic Maul

Although I agree with what you've posted I still believe Chaotic Maul is a fairly strong Pure weapon, especially when used in conjuction with the Granite Maul.

 

I love chaotic maul.

 

Rapier and G Maul WUT!

 

I would go for the Chaotic Rapier for pking because it is fast and hits 400's almost every time. But on the other hand the Chaotic Long Sword is good for boss killing and slayer. And the Chaotic maul is more for pking. Like Dhing or some sort of high defence arrmor like barrows.

 

If youre a main I would go with the longsword for sure.

 

From watching video's of all.. I'd say the chaotic maul is definately the best and seems to be overpowered which is a good thing if you have it

I got all 3 of them, IMO rapier = upgraded whip, and maul = upgraded godsword. CLS is just meh, unless you go bossing.

 

Depends what you plan is.
Really it goes like this.

Chaotic Rapier; Slayer & Pking
Chaotic longsword; Bossing
Chaotic Maul; Pking

 

Rapier is faster dps then longsword tbh even in pvm with overloads and turm

Rapier if you are pking Vs. anyone with a high defensive armor, or if you are just doing general slaying.
Maul if you're a pure pking, or do bossing a lot
Longsword if you do pretty much all of the above.

 

Bought a CLS. not regretting it

 

i have all 3 and i personally love them all. i use all three of em pking (dharok risks) and they all rape. if your going to use cls/rapier id suggest using a dragon defender with them to make em hit higher and faster where as c maul is so over powered its fun to pk with. if you plan on pking maul and rapier are the way to go and if you can time venges right mauls the best weapon ever.

 

I am not sure if I should get rapier or maul for my pure.

Rapier is generally more used as a primary melee weapon and maul is used with ranged?

 

I suggest you take rapier, good for training and still a beast in PvP.

 

It's worth noting that at high levels (overloads, turm, 99 att etc) and rapier will function just as well as a CLS for just about any boss in the game.

 

Nice guide, I think rapier is definitely worth buying as your first chaotic.

 

Damn... I really wish I saw this before I got my chaotic weapon. Good thing I'm close to another one and will probably get the well I still haven't made up my mind. Thank you for this.

 

Helpful guide rapier is defiantly the best all around chaotic.
