changing title of threads

why not limit each user to have 1 thread in each section, but they can change their title? everything'll be much easier.

 

i agree, just look at that account sections, people will post their account in EVERY section, gets kinda tiring seeing the exact same thread in multiple sections.

 

No becus what if you want to sell different things but they come under same section plus this would increase spamming for people wanting to bump their topic to top or it would stay dead.

 

Not going to happen... No mod powers to normal users. Has been said a lot.

 

Or why not just allow a thread's title to be edited? :|

That's not giving Mod powers, is it? Lot's of forums allow title changes.

 

why is it a mod power? its not like they can do anything bad... by changing their thread title... It shouldn't be limited to be mod only... this would also save work for many mods.

 

Its very easy to set a timer for the thread to be bump by the owner...

 

I beleive it can happen, and should happen.

 

If they wana sell different things, they can put accounts in a different section? If its suppose to be in the same section just create... 1 thread.

Hopefully everyone can organize their thread so its easier to view, instead of creating 10 threads and selling different item on each one.

One thread per section? Seriously?

That's like changing the whole concept of a message board.

(edit) Going by your concept, everyone should also have one post per thread. They can just edit it when they wish to add a new message.

 

I'm not really sure what you are saying, I'm talking about the market section, basically... people aren't organizing their threads... they just write a new thread for every thing they want to sell.

 

I think it's a great idea

 

Just because it gets suggested alot doesn't mean we're going to change our answer.
