Changing name to taken name

Because I keep bothering @Astro with a million of questions which I feel bad about, I thought I may aswell create a topic about it. I am thinking about getting a bumpbot and would like to use it on a sub account. I do have one other sub account on Sythe I got a self requested ban on, so I was curious if I could get a namechange on that one, but then again that might complicate things. I could just request a new account on here aswell, but sadly the name I had in mind is taken by a banned user. @carrot carrot

I'm not sure if having a name with lowercase or uppercase letters (carrot and Carrot) could be used as 2 different users, but I think that isn't possible. So I was wondering if "carrot" could be renamed to something along the same lines but different.

If all of this isn't possible at all I'm fine aswell: You never know until you ask, it doesn’t hurt to ask, nothing ventured nothing gained. I'll survive without a bumpbot aswell, might be a waste of money anyways as @Sonia spoke about there's a bump button in the making.

 

Name-change rules are for everyone, no exceptions. We only rename accounts when a name-change is requested and the account has been inactive, we don't free up names when people request it.

 

This means you don't name-change accounts if active Sythe-users want to get another Sythe account but are unable to as the name is taken?

 

I'm positive that banned users have to keep their names just for the sake of having records of everything so that Info is able to be found. I'm Sure I've seen this denied to multiple people that have wanted banned names.

 

I think if you're a long standing member exceptions can be made. Even if it's a banned members name. I mean like 2005ish? Otherwise what they said above.

and yeah Richard has said there would be a possibility of a bump button being made .. somewhere.. in the future.
