Changes to Pardon System (Repayment)

There have been discussions before about the person holding it but it's pretty much a no-go for multiple reasons.

Part of the reason I made this suggestion is so that it's not as easy for scammers as the current system and it's not just them staying banned forever with no chance of returning.

 

Yeah, I understand. It just seems like every suggestion and the current system have flaws. And I think everyone will have their opinion which flaws outweigh others. So it's hard to say what is the right solution.

 

Pardon system is already hell, Anything that makes it harder I will never support, period.

 

Your case is quite different from the average scam. Why should there not be more harsh restrictions on allowing scammers back into the community if they're actually just poisonous people?

 

Just quickly mentioning that this will hopefully never be done (again.) In theory it's a great idea, but then members leave the staff and become inactive, or PayPals get limited, etc and it just becomes hell.

Some users also think after a short amount of time that the member will get to keep the money, it just ends up being a hellish situation that no-one is overly happy with.

 

Yeah like I was saying, seems like every idea has flaws. So I'm fine with keeping it the way it is. It's flawed like everything and puts the least stress on the staff as far as I can tell of any idea besides just leaving people banned.

 

I cba to go through and find it but in one case when the guy's AOL and skype were both available, the scammer wanting to be pardoned messaged the guy's AOL (note that this was sort of recent, within the past year or so) without messaging the skype. After a month all the staff were like k, cool until one pointed out that the skype was available and why the fuck would you message the AOL over that unless you really wanted to just run away with the money. Just an example of how it's relatively easy to get away with the 1 month of contact and then pardon right away with no repayment.
