The fact that one mod can choose to deny/lock a suggestion because they don't like it is dumb.

I propose that we require 3 moderator denial votes before a suggestion can be closed EXCEPT in the following cases:
    -Previously suggested threads
    -DNS list suggestion
-Admins may auto-deny a thread (because they are the ones who would implement most approved suggestions)

Not only one mod goes into a decision to close a suggestion bud, they have a staff lounge where all suggestions go to as well. No support

Usually a mod will close a suggestion thread because they know it won't be implemented, not just because he doesn't like it personally. With the number of suggestions per month, requiring 3 mods to vote before closing a thread would not be a good idea lol Checking suggestions is one of the roles of the Community Moderators and that's why we have them.

Most of the times, they will tag other moderators or wait for other moderators to post if necessary. So I wouldn't worry too much about that. Also, a locked thread can always be unlocked, so if you're unhappy with the decision, you can always report it to have another mod's opinion.

I believe a certain criteria should be met before deciding to lock a thread/deny a suggestion.

    1. Is the suggestion practical?
    2. Is it on the DNS list? If (yes), is there a solution/idea given that would make it practical?
    3. Would the turnout be favorable?

If the answer to these questions are as followed:

    (1) No
    (2) No
    (3) No

Then any staff member with the power to do so should be able to close a thread using their judgment.

In regards to your book club suggestion, it was not practical at the time of suggesting it simply because there was no record of any discussion being had on it in recent time.

Good point. I still think there needs to be some kind of change to how quickly a suggestion thread can be locked when it doesn't violate the DNS or practicality rules, but I posted this prematurely and will revisit it another time when I've thought out a better solution.

This can be locked/denied when a mod reads this
