Change how we update "list" stickies?

Types of threads I'm talking about:
List of Sythe.org Titles and Ranks
About Sythe.org Staff, Ranks and Titles
Impostor List of WELL KNOWN and/or CREDIBLE members
Monthly Graphics Challenge - Hall of Fame

Obviously there is important information in some of these threads, and I am not suggesting that we stop updating stickies altogether, but it is a huge pain in the ass to keep part of them up to date. So I'm suggesting either making these editable by certain members of the community so staff don't have to keep seeing these threads in the report queue OR just not updating the parts of them that change frequently. So like we would stop updating the "who has which rank" list, "when did xxx transition on/off staff" list, "wall of impostors" list, and "event results" list in the aforementioned threads.

Thoughts?

 

The PR team helps assist you guys in updating some of these threads

 

How about the staff stops being lazy and does what it's been doing for years without a problem?

Check out the pr forums. We are currently in the process of updating all the stickies we show to new users so the website is new user friendly (some of these have not been updated since xen)

The monthly graphics challenge hall of fame is CDT so @Mootrucks

Anyways I believe the sticky information should be posted somewhere and have a manadatory time frame before requiring it to update

 

As @Tyler stated the PR is in the process of updating stickies that have to do with newcomers and what not, whatever PR isn't doing when it comes to stickies i'm doing/will be doing, expect all stickies to be no longer out-dated within a few days at max.

I'm surprised no one has went through them all or at least the most important ones in a while, even more surprised that this hasn't crossed my mind till recently.

 

I don't have to reiterate to what the last 3 people have, as they said PR is taking care of some CDT will handle others. But this will lead me into my other point. I tried to argue that Mods should be the ones updating the stickies of THEIR sections. I mean mods should in a way own/take pride in their respective sections. To be frank I can't believe how badly maintained some of these stickies have been. Almost none were up to date with Xen, and the FAQ haven't been touched since @SuF which I believe shows a lack of effort on the staff. I think it took me about two hours to go through, your telling me no one on the staff team had 2 hours in the last 3 years to update a sticky?Thankfully I could count on @Yankiee to help proof read with me!

This isn't a dig at any staff member individually and this would probably be better off in a feedback section but oh well. Staff has been growing more and more distant from the community. There are quite a few staff that it seems they log in do their moderating job to boost their modscore and log off. Almost no one is actually community involved, I don't know how you expect the community teams to be a success at getting people active if we can't even count on staff to be involved. There's more to being a mod than just handling reports. I think the entire staff team should look at themselves and actually see if they are benefiting the site or just doing the bare minimum to keep their modscore up. Globals most importantly!

Just so this is communicated correctly the PR team is taking (and has already finished 2/3 of this list)

These ones are used by newcomers more often than not, it is up to @Mootrucks and CDT if they want to take the initiative to fix up the other stickies, the PR team is only doing this to ensure new users can navigate their way around the website and get going without having to look at broken links, outdated information ect .

 

@Tyler this is already being done now yes? Cant this be closed?
