Champion Nerf

If Riot deems a champion overpowered, due to KDA or Winrate then in the next patch (or possibly two) they will change the champions numbers slightly.

They do this to open new metas and keep the game fun.

I know what you mean, but think about the endless possibilites of champion item combinations and think of how many champions there are / counters and more.

I'm sure its extremely difficult to get the champion perfect first time. Hence why ALL new champions either get buffed or nerfed a patch after their release, lol.

Well, that's why they need the sample data before they release the next patch to decide whether or not they need to buff/nerf the new champion. I guess it can't really be avoided, I'm assuming the data from PBE would be fairly limited.

Sometimes they do, do buffs just to add a breath of fresh air. They want the game to be everchanging, and thus can give buffs to champions that didnt even need it.
This is one of the reason why Riot changes up the dynamic of the game every year. Last year with trinkets, and this year with the heavy focus on 1st dragon, and jungle revamp.
