Champboost requesting a pardon for Offsite/Blackhat activities

    • Report/post/reason that got you banned: Champboost Offsite/Black Hat Activities
    • Proof of contacting victims for repayment or repayment of victims: N/A
    • Anything you weren't banned for but want to confess to now: Sythe Account Sharing
    • Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you:

So to preface this pardon request - I was reported on March 10th which is my birthday. I went to the beach for a week to celebrate and I wasn't around my PC until the 17th, at which time I was already banned. I've been super busy IRL lately so planned on appealing my ban at a later date. As I knew it would be long/hard to explain. However I didn't realize there is a month time limit on ban appeals. So now I will be going through the pardon process, and responding to the report as I never got to explain my side of what happened.

This is going to be a long story but I will explain it to the best of my ability.

Firstly, in the report it's said that me and PvM Eris/Sydney/Havoc etc. are the same person, which is not true. The only discord I use and have used is Hazed#0001.

Secondly, I want to admit to a broken rule I am most definitely guilty of. That crime is sharing my Sythe account with a friend I thought I could trust. Obviously this is a terrible idea but sadly I did. I mainly use Sythe to sell/buy names in the LoL section, and to advertise my boosting service which my Sythe account is named after. I have also sold an OSRS account, and sold a few bill of my OSRS gold in 2018. However if you view my vouch thread, you can see that on Jan 8th I started randomly selling large amounts of gold, until my ban in early March.
      Champboost/Hazed's Vouches

That is because around this time in early January, my friend (Pvm Sydney) mentioned he had some OSRS gold he wanted to sell and asked if he could use my Sythe as he knew I was a donor. I was extremely busy with school/life so I said sure (foolishly). Sadly most of the activity on this Sythe from Jan 8th until my ban was not even me. If staff can check IP's used when making posts etc. you should be able to compare them and see it wasn't me - The IP i'm on now is the only one I use. To show an example, you can see in this post -Unconfirmed Attempted Scam
the discord username shown in the IMGURs are Pvm Syd, rather than Hazed.
I want to emphasize that I am aware that this is extremely irresponsible on my part and doesn't look good for me. I'm not even sure what the repercussions are for Sythe account sharing but in this post I want to be fully transparent. Even if I remain banned for being irresponsible with my account I will be glad I got to share my side of the story. Now to continue.

To explain what happened regarding the Trinity PvM discord server mentioned in the report. I used to run a large (1,000+ member) cryptocurrency related discord, and Pvm Sydney was one of my administrators that helped me run it. However in early 2018 as cryptocurrency slowly bled out in price, interest in crypto subsided and the discord fell inactive. Until seeing this report, I had barely even looked at the server and had basically forgotten about it as it's dead and no longer used. It's only after I read the report I was able to piece together what had happened.

Sydney, with a large discord and administrator privileges at their disposal, decided revamp it into a fake OSRS clan discord to use it to lure people into the server under the guise that it's active/real and perform the scam outlined in the report. Until this Sythe ban occured and I read the report I had no idea he was even involved in this kind of thing (blackhat). Sadly after I confronted him about it after my ban he confirmed that it was true. I have since blocked/removed him.

So yeah. Basically a long term friend took advantage our relationship and used my old discord server and my Sythe account for shady activity. During late 2018/early 2019 I was so busy honestly I barely checked Sythe at all. I just thought he was selling gold he said he had made staking.

After proofreading this post I realize this is pretty criminalizing and shows a serious lack of responsibility on my end. Not to mention the story is pretty crazy. But it's the truth and i'm glad I got to share my side of the story. In the off chance that I am pardoned I am fine with having all vouches removed from selling the OSRS gold from Jan 8th+ onwards if necessary. Additionally I would obviously immediately change all my Sythe account information and secure it.

If you have any questions regarding this I will definitely respond to them within 12-24 hours. If not, thanks for reading.
