If Sythe would make its own RSPS, would you actively play on it?

If it actually has community vibes, not only for the sole purpose of say a PK server - yuck. If you can grind, but it's a bit easier then RS. If there is a selection of quests etc. If there is a possibility of maybe having customs for donors. I'm expecting the full red carpet, a proper RSPS. Not a copy-cat, didn't bother to actively work on it. I'm expecting that there will be active updates as the RSPS is released and ongoing - as per the community wants. If we're not getting that, don't even bother. On an RSPS I was on which was a Delta, they had their own skill called 'buffering' and quest and minigame around it. I'm expecting the works to physically want to keep playing it.

What's Your Favorite Activity On Runescape?

Swapping? Uhm.. getting 69 skills? Community related things really, not so bothered with actually playing RS. I like the Citadel on RS3 - but don't want that on an RSPS obviously. I loved quests. I don't even like much on RS, but RSPS are something else.

What's Your Favorite Feature From Another RSPS?

As mentioned above - customs, spawns, but I don't suggest that be added (*maybe very minimal?) doesn't have to be. A quest, a Skill and a minigame created by themselves. This was a delta (very buggy client) but it was fairly popular for what it was when it existed.

Another RSPS I was on they had specific quick tele areas where they had specific type of NPCs to kill. They were a mass custom server. People pay a lot for customisation, which can easily come in through the donations system. They had a economic, although blah but still had one. I'm hoping there is some sort of economy. If people find glitches and abuse it will it be dealt with? if there is an economy I'm hoping it can be dealt with.

What Features Would You Like To See Added Or NOT Added?

The normal ::bank and quick commands is nice. I don't think there will be rules, so is there going to be mod ranks in game? say if staff join the game. -- I'll edit this when I can think of more. I'm unsure on the idea of RWT regarding it.

What RSPS Version Would You Like To Play ON?

317, although looking at 667 I would prefer either, or a mixture of both. Not really sure of dung...

Can I vote more than once? If not, why am I allowed to do so on the form? How are you going to check who voted what and verify there's no duplicate votes? For the summer minirank you required screeny of you logged in. Is a minirank design more important than this to where you would verify that and not this?

Build a currency/economy that involves both the forums and the private server to encourage people to play, that would be pretty awesome

 

Would definitely play, but more so in a PK sense. I have zero interest in grinding on a private server (or in Runescape itself for that matter).

PKing or dueling, I don't think gambling should even be considered in the rsps unless it grows to have a very solid user base at such a point where Sythe rsps gold is being sold.

Haven't played a rsps in ages, but things I think could go well in a Sythe rsps:

• Bosses - simple reiterations of god wars bosses, maybe some custom bosses, but anything that is PVM for the sole reason of acquiring rare weapons and training.
• Risky PVM - allow for pks to occur in set PVM places, better rewards/higher risks. Make the PVP single combat in this area.
• Significant XP Boost - Make training incredibly fast until at least 70-80s. Spending time on a skill is fine, but I know I am not interested in spending hours attempting to get my combat stats up so I can PK.
• Edge Shops - Pretty standard in RSPS, but a place where you can pickup at the very least basic (and good) gear for pking; however, better gear is only available from pvm.
• Cash skills - Have some skills provide gp opposed to actual items. I think woodcutting would be a great example of this, make fletching obsolete and allowing woodcutting to be used to farm gp at whatever rate/h. The skill would still the work the same in the higher level you are the more you can cut/faster/etc.
• Custom PK area - Wherever, just somewhere that is different than your stereotypical edge pking. Perhaps something like the quest area during Priest of Peril.
• Rare "fun" items (Phats, masks, etc.) available whether from drops from hard-to-kill npcs, or a random rare after so many wildy kills, etc.
• Staking - It's fun to have

GE is a waste of time, everyone conglomerates around Edge anyway. I would have the RSPS designed so that Edge is the hub and there are portals that would take you to a variety of different areas. Have the rest of the world open, maybe even with the normal monsters and stuff (yet better loot), but focus on Edge and the linked areas opposed to the entire world itself.

I'm cool with a 317 or really anything prior to the introduction of incredibly op weaponry. If we go with a 317, God Wars (however I would have a way smaller version, or just the bosses housed somewhere else) and its weapony, D Claws, and Corp should definitely be incorporated.


Also, shoot me a PM if you all want help on your side. I won't be able to assist in the coding, but actual design/layout/rsps itself I can definitely assist in.

Only 317s last but a lot of them add items from later periods which make it far more appealing. Of course only some items should be considered while others should not. I'm also not sure why the survey asked if people will play it before asking everything else, because currently there is no solid foundation for what it will be or how successful it will be which is the entire basis of whether or not anyone will actually play.

Took the survery, Wilderness Keys/Chests (Ikov), Dice Hosts (Tizenx), Zombie Minigame (Tizenx), PKP System are just some things I recommend not allowing rwt.
What? Allow rwt? Is Furreal a retard? The game will be really dumb if people are allowed to rwt, it would be like Tizenx once was with people advertising their selling rates over yell and in game. I suggest not allowing rwt, but not using sythe/other methods other than in game logs like trade/drop logs etc to ban. Mods should ban people for rwt aswell, because it helps clean the eco. I also recommend adding some gold sinks in, like custom boss rooms that cost "x" amount, and also making mithril seeds consume coins per plant.

 

I agree with some of your points, but no gambling? Os-scape thrives because of gambling. Also if you think that people are going to bet their bank gambling and quit, they can just stake? Staking/gambling is the same thing, people get addicted to both and profit big or lose big while doing either or
