How can you gain a reputation on this site?

Hi I am a newer user and wanted to know how I can get any kind of reputation here without spending anything? Everyone I have tried to talk to usually ends up not responding at all. I want some forum clout

 

Hey man @Attackhope0 - A good way to start is by finding something you enjoy doing and trying to create a business around it. Protect yourself and the buyer by requesting a OMM (Official middleman) to facilitate the deal. Gain vouches and expand to a point where people would feel comfortable trading you without one

 

My miniranks to the right made me "LOOK" trusted. Dispute this.; )
I started by offering questing/skilling services and sold gp.

 

I gained loads of vouches by doing quests for people. And what @Pendulum says, make them feel comfortable. You don't need a donor status, i gained 130+ vouches without a $5 donor (which i bought with the osrs gp i earned from my questing service)

 

Doing services for sure is the one way to get vouches and reputation but another one is being active on the forums and joining to the events that our users arrange. Goodluck pal

 

You can’t see mini’s on an iPhone unless you flip to horizontal viewing,
which I’d say 85-90% of my Sythe use is done via phone

Pendulum hit the nail on the head.
The best thing to do to gain vouches quickly, is services and such for people.
Buying and selling acc’s I another great way to start.
Also, just plugging into the community by becoming a donor (I suggest at least $100+)
And adding value by posting & helping people

I think find a service/business that people need, see if you can become competitive, if you can then try it out and see where it leads.

 

Depend what you want to do int he long run.. if you want to offer service, offer free service to start.
For Gold i would buy and sell small amount of gold with small margin to sell quick!

 

Make a donation, offer services, slowly build up vouches.

It takes time, and a lot of it.

Also, getting a professionally done avatar/signature wouldn't hurt + miniranks

 

Miniranks mean nothing, donor means nothing.

My suggestion would be start working for a service provider who's hiring questers/skillers ect. Build your trust/rep with that user for a few months by doing as many jobs as you can, then once you're done request a vouch from him and start your own service. This will also give you experience in the field and will help you later when giving quotes for jobs you're offered on your own, setting timelines, and setting up a possible client base for the future.

This way; you get jobs without having to offer slave prices, you probably get more jobs than you would on your own anyway bc you're working for someone who's already trusted, plus after your few months you'll make enough money to "donate" or "buy miniranks" or whatever else you wana do + you'll have a huge vouch if you are actually a good/hard working dude.

Other than that just dont be a fucking retard or a scumbag.

Free services etc make your self trusted!

 

Stay active in the market. Try to get as many vouches as you can and don't scam people.

 

If you want vouches without Buy/Sell account/money you can do fire cape services, quest services, hand training account, etc, nothing really hard there ;p

 

Just don't be like this guy and everything should be fine!

Be genuine and be yourself. There's no way around it; stay active and enjoy the community! Don't focus all of your attention to the market, make yourself a member of the community too!
