can't get my rio chiba to work.

i just bought a rio chiba from my teacher at school. a rio chiba is a mp3 player that you can add sd cards to give it more memory and space.
when i connect it to my computer it says new hardware found and asks if i want to install it. i try to install it but it says i need the cd that came with it, which i don't have. i went to the rio website and downloaded the drivers but it still won't work. when i go to my computers the chiba doesn't show up and now i can't put songs on it, can anyone help me out? how the hell can i get this thing to work.
