I have found additional evidence and submitted it. The case is closed, however, they mentioned that they will consider it since they haven't dispensed the money to the seller yet.

Mouse over gold coins should show that "5" options are available, not "4". This indicates the scammer used a slightly outdated RSPS server as an overlay.

I'm saying that a modified runescape client can change how things are rendered i.e runescape names, interface texts, etc. So yes, in rare cases, video proof isn't sufficient.

 

Do you mind explaining how this can be done? The more specific, the more useful. Perhaps I can explain this better to help win my case.

Player Auctions has also gotten back to me on Twitter. They're currently looking into the submitted evidence. First post has been modified to reflect the new evidence and update.

 

His excessive clicking and the way he tries to over proove the trade being made is more than a sign of fraudulent acitivty for me. He is making evidence that an incompitant regular spastic worker from Playeruactions would believe in a second. The trade has clearly been made on a semi popular, half full world on a private server. All the signs are there for a scam but I wouldn't hold your hopes into thinking PA will put the same amount of effort into examining this trade as you did.

 

What's interesting is that all the people featured in the video are real. It's most probable that he used an outdated private server for the layout, and conducted the trade in the actual Runescape world. He then proceeded to edit the name of his trading partner in the game, chat box, and trade window. Made the edits frame perfect, and made a video out of it. Very possible since the video is also very low FPS? So far this is the best explanation unless somebody else is able to digest this better?

I base this on the fact that the uptext is wrong when hovering over to accept trade, also the hover over option on the gold in trade is displayed incorrectly as well.

 

Whether the people featured in the video are real or not, it would be very easy to gain a database of active rs players and create a few alts with their names on a private server, such as the auto typers etc.. Only a few actual rsns are featured in the trade evidence.

 

Also for a trade this big, dont be surprised that 3+ people could of been involved to help set up the environment and scenery of the trade.

I thought about this. But it's not the case. April having been scammed by the same person, said he contacted individuals in the game that remember having the same conversation that took place when the video took place.

 

Name login on a level 3 tho? i doubt it.

 

When i got scammed on pa what I got the buyer to do was upload a video of them logging into rs3 with the same name as its near on impossible to fake

 

Damn. And I just left 300m on an account that banned and thought I had a bad day.

Justice has been served. The Case has finally been closed in my favor and is now SOLVED. It definitely was a wild ride.
