Can the game be beaten?

Good responses guys, looking for more good arguments/opninions

Hopefully they make some more good skills. Dungeoneering was a bit of a disappointment to me :sick:

 

Becuase you cant be the game doesnt mean you lose that's a rather ignorant comment.. think about it.

I consider the game beaten by quests. I'm gonna relate this to MW2 now ^_^

Quests are the campaign. Beat the storyline and I consider the game finished. 99 non-combat stats are achievements. You guys know MW2's multiplayer? The really annoying yet fun one? PvP. Botters are hackers, which IMO are awesome. You could compare money in Runescape to attachments for guns I suppose. 99 Combat stats are perks. Heck, you can compare a lot of Runescape to MW2, however Runescape is on a much larger scale.

You know what, I'm just gonna shut up now before I get MW2-flamed ;p.

 

I do not think it can be beaten. To me beaten is lvl 138, all quest, and 200m xp in all skills. Thats impossible, i dont think it will ever be acheieved by anyone.

In a sense you can.

It's what you choose that makes the game teh game win or not.

I don't agree with this.
How can you lose by playing. By playing you're working towards winning, and since winning cannot be achieved the moment you log in, logging in cannot be said to make you lose.

 

You guys are all wrong, bahaha.
Just kidding but heres my view;

The game is beaten when you reach your personal goals. The day that you say, finally I have everything I want on my account and all the stats I want;
Then the game is beaten.

 

The game isn't beaten, your goals are.

To me, I win every time I just have fun or enjoy what I'm doing in game. The real goal of RS is to have fun. As long as you do that, you win.

 

Only Chuck Norris has beaten RuneScape...

So the answer is maybe. I win every time I don't get banned botting, lol.

 

They will keep making more quests more skills etc...basically when runescape stops making updates and someone gets all the quests and stuff i guess...they can say they "Beat" the game.

Well apparently when you reach 99 in everything you get a message from Jagex, im not sure if its true or not - Ive seen a picture, could of been photoshopped like.
But as said above, gaining 200m xp + quests + max cash would infact prove you have beat the game.
