Can someone Update me on RuneScape?

Hey guys, how it's going? Posting here to ask if someone could possibly update me on whats going on RuneScape nowadays... I have quit the game around 2 months ago as I had a lot of things to focus that were more important than the game.

So... Is the evolution of combat ever coming? Are bots ever going to be eliminated? Any new armour or weapons? Or new prayers..?

I don't have intentions in getting back to RuneScape, I have sold all my accounts too lol but just to know how things were going nowadays.

It sucks, and will always suck, don't start getting back into it; sell your account and quit for good.

There are new items though, GWD got reworked, MANY items added.

Yeah EOC should be coming out in November according to what they said .

 

Really, the entire game structure has changed and is no longer about what the company "Jagex" (Just About the Gaming EXperience) was named after but rather, is all about money nowadays.
Really, they should rename the company to "Jagmo" for obvious reasons.

 

Doesn't Jagex stand for JAva Gaming Experts?

 

It used to, but they changed it to Just about the gaming experience due to the fact they were starting to move away from Java. I.E 8Realms is HTML5 and they plan on changing RuneScape from Java to HTML5.

OT: many new quests and items. instead of doing eoc, they should have just added a new skil or something.

Yeah, it's gonna open up a lot of new options for them. They plan on releasing RS on tablets soon, which they can do if they do release RS in HTML5. I've got an image below which is Java vs. HTML5.

They said September, but I think this was changed to December.. then they slipped up, or pretended to slip up - and mentioned "RS3", Runeshark discuss it here:

It will be really interesting to see what they can do to try and, I guess revive the game. I mean I know they're still going okay, but they have to do something really good really soon to keep the members around and stop upsetting them with crappy updates.
