Hi, I quit runescape when EOC was introduced (w/o trying it >.>) and I recently joined back when '07 came.
However I wanna play EOC again lol, but there's so much new stuff.
please can someone fill me in every major update :)
Thanks

Going through every major update would be difficult, however the main things to note is that a lot of equipment has new stats, Strength bonuses have been removed, so the additional damage now comes from critical hit which can have their chance of happening improved by wearing equipment that increases your critical hit %.

Chaotics are no longer the strongest weapons either, There is now Drygore weapons. However, only the Longsword, Mace and rapier alongside their offhand versions were released. These are obtained from drop from the new boss, The Kalphite King or from buying from players.

There was an update today on armours, Quoted from the official RuneScape page - http://services.runescape.com/m=news/instanced-god-wars--eoc-updates

New Armour System (free players and members)
All armour has now been assigned one of three types - geared towards offence, defence or versatility - and has had its stats optimised for its purpose.

Tank gear is built for defence, giving you plenty of life points and no major penalties. This type is the most common in the game - including gear such as rune armour, dragonhide armour and spider silk robes, along with higher-end gear such as Player-Owned Ports armour - and is best used in situations where you don't want to take risks, such as boss fights.

Power gear offers a 10% boost to the damage you deal, but with much lower armour rating and life points than you'd find on tank gear of the same level. This type is excellent for Slayer assignments and combat training but dangerous if you're taking big hits, and includes Bandos armour, demon slayer armour, robes of subjugation, and all Nex gear.

Hybrid gear has lower base stats than the other types, but had a big advantage in that it has no style weakness: it's equally effective against melee, ranged and magic. You won't get the high life points you'd get from tank gear, or the big max hits you'd get with a power setup, but you'll be ready for whatever's thrown your way - invaluable in PvP or complex combat minigames. Void Knight and obsidian armour are examples of hybrid gear.

There has also been a few new quest releases, major ones at that. The most important one to mention (IMO) would be The World Wakes. Upon completion, you are rewarded with 5 new ultimate abilities, you may want to take a look yourself, here's a link to the quest on RSwiki - http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/The_World_Wakes

If you have any other questions feel free to ask :)

Man, is it just me or is EOC becoming more and more like MapleStory. Used to play that game for years until the Big Bang update was released. That's why I quit MS.

SO glad to have 07scape back.

Welcome back to EoC. Actually, there's nothing to catch up as if Jagex make a huge update. The only change that has been made is the Combat System. They say that if you already have some experience in playing WOW then you won't have any problem understanding this new EoC combat system.

Since many pre-EoC players like you had quit the game upon the release of the update, Jagex tried to make a few adjustments. They have added the skill called 'Momentum'. This is a type of skill that you will surely like if you really prefer the single-click attack type of style when fighting monsters. Recently, Jagex had even removed the requirement of filling-up the energy bar before you can activate this particular skill. You can now directly activate momentum as long as your character is not engage in combat.

Succeeding updates that has been made are just holiday items just like the usual updates that they have been doing in the past.

Hope to see you on the Game :)

Tier 1 Prizebox
If you want combat with a change, play EoC. If you want to grind and click and point, play 07. PvM = EoC, PvP = 07' Pretty much, if you want to have a challenge against monsters do EoC, but if you want to have oldschool PKing do 07.

there are so many aspects of both versions i want collaborated into one single version of the game. fuck that won't happen.
