Can LoL compete with DOTA 2?

If Riot wanted to do something like this, I don't think LoL has the same kind of community as Dota 2 to raise this much money.

 

sorry but you're wrong. All riot had to do was a equal system, with skins/icons challanges with money. You'de be surprised
I saw a article like 2 months ago saying that only 2.2% players from dota2 base waste money on the game. I think LoL surpasses that by far.

 

Yep.. Sad to admit but I've spent hundreds on LoL.

 

I have never tried DOTA but from by understanding it comes down to personal opinion

 

Neither one of them look fun :/

 

IMHO LOL is better,its less of prize pools than DOTA but its just a better game.

 

LoL definitely has a much larger playerbase, and thats about all it takes.
