Can Jagex view your open applications?

It is illegal unless they include it in their policies/terms and conditions. It's illegal to view other people's information without their knowledge and agreement (open files/programs counts as information).

It is a false rumor.

I'm not a Java guru but I'm pretty sure it's not possible for them to do that through a simple Java applet.

I have heard rumours that Jagex can view your open applications, is it true?
If it is i must add new antiban to my autos.

Java is able to view your open applications, but seeing it is against the privacy act, i sincerely doubt Jagex does this.
If they did they would no doubt have to have a disclaimer of some sort where you "virtually sign it".

I highly doubt that it's true.

If they did, it would be illegal.

I know Java programs can view your open applications but are you sure just an applet embeedded in your internet browser can as well?

lol I'm pretty sure they can't I'll try to find the privacy policy or whatever the thing is called... hang on...
there it is... hang on I'll fix it in a sec... ok done

That's all the information their thing says they collect so if they can or do actually see your junk they're as good as sewed.

I think its Bs, Becuase wouldn't that be illegal?

rofl if they knew that you would have any privacy, its like watching wat porn your watching...andrew likes to watch nude girls on the computer while playing runescape??? rofl

In my ProFighter ppl can change caption of it. And you can't see it in task manager, but name of the exe is still ProFighter.exe...

Of course. If an applet is signed, it can do anything a java application can.
Oh ok I thought maybe since it's just embedded in your browser it would seem like it would not have as much power over your computer.

they cant lol say if your entering your bank pin, they could see that they would violate there terms and conditions lol
He's not talking about monitoring keystrokes. He's talking about if they can view what applications you currently have open and it's been confirmed that they could but they don't because they don't mention it in their terms and conditions, or privacy policy.

its highly unlikely, but possible AND legal. WoW does it all time with the warden program

i highley doubt they can lol... no they cant
