Can i still main zed in s8 (ex s3 plat zed main)

is he still strong enough to main ? otherwise i would just have him as a 2nd pick or so

 

I've been playing him for a few days and honestly he really doesn't seem that good right now, vs someone who stacks armor he just gets destroyed or if he falls behind he gets destroyed but you could probably almost always win lane once you get level 6 if you have ignite as well which you should have. Past 20 minute when laning phase is over for the most part he seems pretty useless.

 

are you putting team comps in too? Pretty sure he's only ideal right now if their whole team is squishy and you can use an AD mid, otherwise I doubt it. In lower elo, you can main him since they don't understand grouping and it's all 1v1.

 

Zed is in a pretty bad place right now. Check out some communities, like r/zedmains, zed players themselves will tell you that there are way too many anti-zed things in the game right now.

I don't see why not! Zed's a very oppressive champion, and if you play him at a high level you can definitely win solo-queue games single handedly. He's ranked 3rd on the "overall rating" for midlaners on champion.gg Champion.gg - League of Legends Stats by Champion Role for the Current Patch

 

From what I see, he’s very easy to counter. Maybe it’s just my elo and players don’t know how to build him but imo he’s not in a good position to carry any game.

He might be 3rd but his win rate is 49%

 

He's got a kinda wonky play style, and you have to be a good assassin player to make it work. If he's willing to stick with it and really put the time in to main the champion, I think it would be worth it in the end. He's really feast or famine. His winrate isn't as crazy as the more popular mids at the moment, but it does go up a significant amount in the group of people who have 50+ games played in a season. His winrate also plummets after 20 minutes, so you really have to just snowball, shut down their carries and help your team win the game by just deleting any damage dealers you see and then immediately following up with objectives.

 

Makes sense. That’s probably why there’s 1 trick zeds in challeneger elo. I guess it depends on what playstyle you have as well, like when I play with zed I’m very reserved which more than likely causes me to lose lol, however I’m sure someone who’s very aggressive with him could do a lot better than I.
